저소득층 조손가족 조부모의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구 = A Study on the Factors influencing Grandparent's Life Satisfaction in Low Income Grandparent-Grandchildren Family

The purpose of this study was to investigate variables influencing grandparent's life satisfaction in low income grandparent-grandchildren family and to suggest intervention strategies and service programs improving that. For this study, The 194 grandparent raising grandchildren over 6 months in Gwangju city and Chella-do province were interviewed directly by researchers of this study. The questionnaire consisted of socio-demographic variables, family related variables, psycho-social variables of grandparent raising grandchildren. The results showed that the life satisfaction of grandparent raising grandchildren was poor and there were significant differences in the degree of the life satisfaction across the contact frequency of grandparent - child of family related variables and the physical health, care stress, social support of psycho-social variables. The result of stepwise regression analyses indicated that grandparent's social support was the most powerful variable influencing the life satisfaction of the grandparents' rasing grandchildren followed by grandparent's physical health, grandparent's care stress, residential form 2(permanently rent apartment for the poor) were important variables influencing that. Based on the results, the various services or programs for them, such as an support group, services or programs for coping methods of grandchildren's care, political services or programs considering economic support, residing stability and additionally economic-social concern hinted at residential form, would need to be developed and implemented.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 저소득층 조손가족 조부모의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보고자 ‘자녀의 가족 해체로 인해 6개월 이상을 손자녀의 1차 책임자로서 생활하고 있는 저소득층 조손가족 조부모’ 194명을 유의 표집하여 조부모의 인구사회학적 특성, 조손가족 가족 관계적 특성, 조부모의 심리사회적 특성 등을 조사하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 조부모의 생활만족도는 낮게 나타났으며, 조부모의 인구사회학적 특성은 조부모의 생활만족도에 유의미한 차이를 나타내지 못했다. 그리고 조손가족 가족 관계적 특성에서는 자녀와의 접촉빈도 만이 생활만족도에 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 조부모의 심리사회적 특성은 조부모의 생활만족도에 모두 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 끝으로 조부모의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 결정요인을 알아보고자 단계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 사회적지지, 신체적 건강, 양육스트레스, 주택 형태 순으로 설명력을 가지고 있었다. 즉, 사회적 지지가 높을수록 신체적 건강이 긍정적일수록 양육스트레스가 낮을수록 영구임대아파트에 거주할 경우 생활만족도는 높게 나타났다. 따라서 저소득층 조손가족 조부모들의 생활만족도를 향상시키기 위해서는 주택 형태의 특성을 고려하여 사회적 지지망을 확충하고, 신체적 건강을 유지할 수 있으며, 양육스트레스에 대처할 수 있는 서비스와 프로그램들이 개발되어 시행될 필요가 있을 것으로 본다.
