The aim of this article is to comprehend the cognition of Kagok and Refinement of Lee Jeonggu(李廷龜) in 17th century. His one Kagok of Cheongguyeongeon is based on Kisaeng`s utterance, especially episode of Ryu Yeogag(柳汝恪) and Kisaeng Sinsaeng(申生). His attention to Cheollyungga of Lee Hangbok(李恒福) is associated with his attitude to Kagok. He is cautious of damping a person`s spirits and too far sorrow. He enjoyed the sound of a flute with beautiful sightseeing, specially in outing. We are able to name to refinement of Sangdaebu(上大夫) or the best refinement. And he acknowledged the bottom of man`s heart and evidence of refinement, an anecdote of Lee Homin(李好閔) and Kisaeng Yooncheong(尹晴), namely attachment and refinement. But in personal feeling, he controlled himself. And this refinement handed down to his sons Lee Myunghan(李明漢) and Lee Sohan(李昭漢). So we are able to scrutinize Yonan Lee`s family.
