기존 학교의 지원체제로서의 초,중등 사이버학교 도입에 대한 인식 조사 연구 = A Study on the Social Perception of the Cyber School as a Support System for Conventional Schools

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was conducted in order to propose the idea of implementing the cyber school at the elementary and secondary level. Good examples of cyber schools in other countries indicated that cyber schools could be of great support to conventional schools when they are run as a support system for conventional schools. In this respect, a questionnaire survey was conducted to 1,840 students, 151 teachers, and 402 parents in order to find out their attitudes and needs about the cyber school. The findings of the study showed that regarding the elementary school level, students, teachers, and parents showed somewhat negative attitudes about the establishment of cyber school. However, their attitudes gradually became positive as the school level increased. It could be also noteworthy that teachers and parents showed their favor toward the ``school-support`` type of the cyber school. In other words, students, teachers, and parents all agree that cyber school should supplement, rather than replace, conventional schools. It can be concluded that now we should consider how to implement the cyber school in order to supplement conventional schools.
