In this paper, we focus on the Food Safety Incident Management Issues in China. Facing with a series of food safety incidents in recent years, Chinese government does make a lot of effort to solve problems, ensure food safety and protect consumers from dangers. But still the areas in which further improvement might be considered as follows: First is to reduce the number of food safety incidents by improving the overall food safety level. Second is that the local administrative departments should continue to set up food safety publicity, improve the public ability to identify toxic plants and animals, increase public awareness of food safety according to the local diets, living habits and climatic characteristics. Third is to emphasize on prevention and control of food safety incidents. Fourth is that enterprises or related producers must at least have a moral bottom line as production progress is the first basic step of all manufactures. The last most important reform would be to allow the effective operation of the existing system of private civil litigation and bankruptcy that would allow injured parties to take action independent of the government, giving the producers a warning to act legally.
