은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성의 결혼만족에 관한 연구 = The Marital Satisfaction of Middle-aged and Elderly Women with Retired husbands

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was intended to observe the marital satisfaction of middle-aged and elderly wives with retired husbands and to explore the factors associated with their marital satisfaction after the retirement of their spouse. A survey was conducted on 143 women aged 50 and over who are living in the Seoul and Kyunggi provinces. Data were analysed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression methods. The results showed that the mean of wives' marital satisfaction was 3.39 on a 5-point scale. The factors influencing marital satisfaction of the respondents were whether husband and wife spend together for hobbies, the extent of planning for after retirement, the length of retirement of spouse, subjective health status for spouse, time to spend with spouse. The implications of social work intervention for wives' with retired husbands for developing marital satisfaction were suggested in several ways.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성들을 대상으로 결혼만족도의 수준을 살펴보고, 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여 사회복지적인 함의를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울․경기 지역에 거주하는 50세 이상 중고령 여성들이며, 총 143명의 표본이 분석자료로 활용되었다. 연구결과 은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성의 결혼만족도는 5점 만점에 평균 3.39점으로 나타났다. 결혼만족도에 영향을 미친 요인으로는 부부가 함께 하는 취미생활 여부, 배우자 은퇴 후에 대한 계획수립 정도, 배우자의 은퇴기간, 배우자 건강상태, 함께 대화하는 시간 등으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성에 대한 결혼만족도의 중요성을 부각시키고, 부부가 함께 하는 은퇴준비 프로그램이나 부부 여가활동, 의사소통 증진 프로그램 등 사회복지 실천적 개입 방법을 제시하였다.
