만학도 간호대생의 세대 차이 경험 = Mature Nursing Students' Experiences of Generational Differences

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to understand and analyze in-depth the experiences of generational differences in university life among mature nursing students. The participants are 13 mature nursing students, aged 30 years and above, enrolled in the nursing department of a university in J province. Data collection and analysis were performed simultaneously using the Colaizzi’s phenomenological method. The final analysis consisted of 11 themes and 5 clusters of themes. The five themes were: "Putting myself in the shoes of younger students who perceive advice as nagging," "Being passive for fear of dissonance with assertive younger students," "Giving to younger students who are used to Dutch pay," "Worrying that selfishness of classmates will have a negative impact on the school," and "Feeling alienated and energized by interacting with younger students. The findings of this study may contribute to the development of programs to help mature nursing students understand and adapt to the conflicts and difficulties they experience due to generational difference.
