지리사진 콘테스트를 통한 고등학생들의 지리적 인식 연구 : 강원도를 사례로 = A Study of Highschool Student`s Geopraphic Cognition through Geographical Photographs Contest -A Case Study of Gangwon Province

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지리사진은 촬영자의 지리적 관점이 투영되어 있으므로 지리적 인식을 해석하는 도구로 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구는 강원도의 고등학생들이 가지고 있는 지리적 인식을 그들이 직접 촬영한 사진을 통해 알아보는데 목적을 두고 `2009년 제 1회 강원도 고등학생 지리사진 콘테스트`를 통해 모집된 총 118개의 사진을 분석한 것이다. 사진의 주제별 비율은 자연지리(52%), 인문지리(28%), 지역지리(11%), 환경지리(9%) 순으로 나타났고, 자연지리작품 중에서는 지형 사진이 82%로 가장 많았다. 이는 지리교과서의 자연지리 단원에서 상대적으로 많은 사진을 사용하기 때문인 것으로 추측해볼 수 있다. 또한 지역별로 사진 주제를 분석한 결과, 영서지방은 자연지리와 인문지리 사진의 비율이 각각 30%로 비슷하게 나타났지만 영동지방은 자연지리 사진의 비율이 70%로 높게 나타나며, 특히 해안지형 사진이 지형 사진 중 50% 이상으로 나타나 지역에 따라 지리적 인식의 차이가 나타나고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Geographical photographs be used as a vehicle for analyze geographic cognition because It mirror geographic standpoint. This research aims to figure out geographic cognition of highschool student in Gangwon province through their photographs that was taken themselves and has been dissected by collected 118 photographs through 2009` 1st Highschool in Gangwon province geographical photographs contest. Percentage of photographs theme is physical geography(52%), human geography(28%), regional geography(11%), environment geography(9%) and There was 82% of landform theme in physical geography theme photograph. This result is caused by schoolbook that use more geographical photographs in physical geography units. On Analysis of photographs theme by region, photographs theme in Yongseo region has same percentage of physical geography and human geography(each 30%). but Yongdong region has physical geography theme photograph high persentage(70%). In specialty, coastal landform theme photographs make up more than half landform theme photographs. So difference of geographic cognition influenced by region.
