지속가능발전 프로젝트 활동을 경험한 예비유아교사의 변화 = Changes in the attitude of pre-service early childhood teachers after experiencing the sustainable development project

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in pre-service early childhood teachers’ perception of sustainable development and their attitudes toward sustainable lifestyle after experiencing the sustainable development project activities. For this study, 30 college seniors majoring in early childhood education at H University conducted the sustainable development project activities for 15 weeks. In the process, participants’ reflective journals for self-assessment and portfolios containing the entire project process were collected and analyzed through a qualitative research analysis process.
The results of the study are as follows. First, pre-service early childhood teachers broadened their understanding of sustainable development in the course of project activities. Second, pre-service early childhood teachers have come to practice sustainable lifestyle and evolved into teachers with the expertise to conduct sustainable development education while discovering their changed identities as members of a sustainable society. Consequently, sustainable development project activities could be considered as effective and influential measures in teacher training courses.
