      Preexisting lexicon for korean parsing has been built mainly based on syntactic information. However, Precise parsing of Korean sentence is difficult only with syntactic information, since korean is a partially free word-order which has frequent elimination of necessary constituents. Hence, including semantic information in the lexicon is essential in order to increase the quality of parsing. In this thesis, a prototype semantic lexicon for korean parsing is implemented. The components of the semantic lexicon are set of concepts, conceptual catalogues, conceptual relation, and a type hierarchy.
