모빌리티가 여행지 공공공간의 사적 전유에 미친 영향: 터키 여행공간을 사례로 = The Effect of Mobility on the Private Appropriation of Public Space in the Travel Area: The Case of Travel Space in Turkey

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the effect of mobility on the private appropriation of public space in the travel space of Turkey, airport, resting place, and Cappadocia. Modern travelers change the public space of travel destinations through the consumption of travel products and visits to travel destinations. As business became the main function of modern airport, Ataturk International Airport has been transformed into a space of mobility and consumption, and a space where the new-caste system operates. The resting places in Chanakkale and Konya have lost their publicness as the safe rest space during the movement, and instead, it has been transformed into a space where rest was made through consumption. Cappadocia has been transformed into a space dominated by travel networks beyond the management of the state and region, and nature, which was the subject of commons, has been transformed into a space in which private capital has penetrated. The private appropriation of public space in the travel area means that the social base collapses as the common space is dominated by a small number of private capital.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 모빌리티가 여행지 공공공간의 사적 전유에 미치는 영향을 터키의 여행 공간인 공항, 휴게소, 카파도키아를 사례로 살펴보았다. 현대의 여행자는 여행 상품의 소비와 여행지 방문을 통하여 여행지의 공공공간을변화시킨다. 비즈니스가 현대 공항의 주요 기능이 되면서, 아타튀르크 국제공항은 이동과 소비의 공간, 그리고 신- 카스트 제도가 작동하는 공간으로 변모하였다. 차낙칼레와 코니아 일대의 휴게소는 이동 중의 안전한 휴식이란 공공성을 상실하였고, 대신에 휴식이 소비를 통해 이루어지는 공간으로 변모하였다. 카파도키아는 국가와 지역의 관리를 넘어선 여행 네트워크가 지배하는 공간으로 변모하면서, 공유의 대상이던 자연은 사적 자본이 침투한 공간으로 변모하였다. 공공공간의 사적 전유는 공동의 공간이 소수의 민간자본에 의해 지배되면서 사회적 기반이 붕괴됨을 의미한다.
