청소년의 우울과 비행ㆍ공격행동： 가정폭력과 삶의 의미 인지의 영향 = Adolescent's Depression and Delinquent Aggressive Behavior： The Effects of Domestic Violence and Perceiving Meaning of Life

This study attempted to find the differences of depressive symptoms, delinquent behaviors, aggressive behaviors, and meaning of life between adolescents who have experienced domestic violence and those who have not experienced domestic violence, and to examine the mediating effects of meaning of life. Total of 793 male and female students who were attending middle schools in Seoul, Incheon, and Kyungkido, participated in the research. The study results revealed that compared to those who have not experienced domestic violence, adolescents who have experienced domestic violence showed high levels of depressive, delinquent, and aggressive behaviors, in addition to having low levels of meaning of life. Further, it was found that domestic violence made negative impacts on the adolescents' depressive symptoms, and delinquent and aggressive behaviors, differences in adolescents' depressive, delinquent, aggressive behaviors were all mediated by meaning of life.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 일반가정과 가정폭력경험 청소년 집단 간 우울, 비행, 공격행동, 삶의 의미에 차이를 보이는지, 또한 가정폭력이 청소년의 우울, 비행, 공격행동, 삶의 의미에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 그리고 청소년의 삶의 의미 인지가 이러한 내외적 문제행동들을 매개하는지 살펴보았다. 서울, 인천, 경기도 지역 8개 중학교의 1, 2, 3학년에 재학 중인 793명의 남녀학생들이 연구에 참여하였다. 연구결과는 가정폭력 경험 청소년 집단의 우울, 비행, 공격행동 수준이 비 경험 청소년 집단에 비하여 높고, 삶의 의미는 가정폭력 비 경험 청소년 집단이 높은 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 삶의 의미, 우울, 비행행동은 가정폭력 경험에 따라 그리고 공격행동은 청소년의 나이와 가정폭력 경험 여부에 따라 차이를 보이는 것으로 조사되었다. 즉 가정폭력 경험은 청소년의 삶의 의미, 우울, 비행행동, 그리고 공격행동 모두에 영향을 미치며, 나이가 많을수록 공격행동이 높게 표출하는 것을 의미한다. 나아가 가정폭력경험은 청소년의 우울, 비행, 공격행동 모두에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었으며, 삶의 이미 인지가 이상의 문제행동들을 모두 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 결과는 가정폭력이 청소년의 내외적 문제행동들의 발생에 영향을 미치나, 청소년 자신의 삶의 의미 발견이 가정폭력으로 말미암은 다양한 형태의 문제행동들을 긍정적으로 매개할 수 있음을 함의한다.
