위기청소년에 대한 다중체계치료적 접근: 청소년동반자 프로그램의 개입 효과성 연구 = Multisystemic Approach for At-Risk Youth in Korea: Clinical Outcomes of Youth Companion Program

Youth Companion Program(YCP) is a community-based intervention program for at-risk youths, based on the theoretical model of Multisystemic Therapy. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of YCP in comparison to that of individual counseling. One hundred and thirty eight adolescents referred to YCP and 59 youths referred to individual counseling were assessed for the behavioral problems at intake and 6 month follow-up. Client satisfaction of youths and their parents was also assessed. Results showed that problematic behaviors of both groups were significantly decreased, and yet there were no significant differences in the extent of improvement or the level of client satisfaction. Further analyses of intervention components revealed that the face-to-face intervention was more frequent in individual counseling and intervention through community organization was more frequently provided in YCP. Moreover frequency of intervention through community organization was positively correlated with improvement in the YCP group.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

청소년동반자 프로그램은 다중체계치료의 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 2005년 시범사업을 통해 우리나라에 새 롭게 도입된 위기청소년에 대한 치료적 개입이다. 본 연구에서는 청소년들을 대상으로 청소년동반자 프로 그램의 개입 효과성을 확인하고자 하였다. 2006년 3월-9월 사이에 청소년동반자 프로그램 참여자 138명과 일반상담 프로그램 서비스 수혜자 59명의 청소년들을 대상으로 문제 행동의 정도와 서비스에 대한 만족도 와 함께 실제 각 프로그램에서 어떤 치료적 개입이 이루어졌는지를 조사하였다. 그 결과, 두 집단 모두에 서 개입 후 평가에서 개입 전에 비해 행동 문제의 호전이 보고되었으며, 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이는 없 는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년과 그 보호자가 평가한 서비스 만족도에 대한 평가에서도 두 집단 간에 유의 한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 치료적 개입의 요소들을 비교해 보았을 때 일반상담에서는 청소년에 대한 대 면상담의 빈도가 더 높았으며, 청소년동반자 프로그램에서는 전화 및 인터넷 상담과 기관을 통한 개입의 빈도가 상대적으로 더욱 많았다. 청소년동반자 프로그램의 개입 효과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위하여 상관분석이 실시되었으며, 그 결과 기관을 통한 개입이 개입 효과성과 상대적으로 더욱 높은 상관 을 보이고 있었다. 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후 연구를 위한 제안과 함께 프로그램 운영의 보완점과 시 사점에 대해서 논의하였다.
