성태도, 대인관계, 스마트폰 이용이 청소년들의 성행동에 미치는 영향|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중·고등학교 학생들의 다양한 성행동에 미치는 영향을 스마트폰을 통한 성콘텐츠의 노출과 성태도 그리고 대인 관계 변인을 통해 알아보고자 했다. 청소년 449명을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 결과, 강제 성행동, 약한 성행동, 자기 성행동 등에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데, 중학생은 대부분의 성행동에 또래 영향이 공통되었고, 강하든 약하든 강제 성행동(피해)을 제외한 모든 성행동에 스마트폰의 성콘텐츠 노출의 영향이 유의미하여, 개인적인 특성보다는 대인 변인인 친구 관계와 미디어 변인인 스마트폰 성콘텐츠 노출이라는 주변 및 외부 환경에 큰 영향을 받고, 부분적으로만 허용적 성태도등의 개인 특성 변인에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 고등학생은 약한 성행동을 제외한 모든 성행동에서 남학생인 성별이 유일한 변인이거나, 성태도 등과 함께 영향을 미쳤고, 또래 영향과 미디어 노출은 일부 성행동에만 유의미하게 나타났다. 스마트폰의 경우 개별사용자의 통제권이 크다는 특성에, 질풍노도의 시기라 일컬어지는 청소년기의 특성이 결합하여 큰 영향을 미친다. 성콘텐츠에 대해서 음란물 차단 앱과 같은 기술적인 방안으로도 접근해야겠지만, 부모와 청소년의 교우 관계 중요성을 인지하고 청소년 스스로 미디어를 통제하고 이용하며 적절한 대인관계를 통해 청소년들의 성행동을 긍정적으로 이끌 수 있게 해야 할 것이라는 함의를 발견할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the research is to analyze how exposure to sexual content via mobile media affects the sexual behaviors of adolescents based on individual variables, such as socio-demographic factors and sexual attitudes, and personal relations, such as parental support and peer influence. The survey targeting 449 middle and high school adolescents in Incheon proved that middle school students and male high school students are susceptible to peer influence and exposure to sexual content via smart phones which then creates coercive sexual behaviors. It is possible to judge that biased gender ideologies of adolescents can result in a variety of serious problems, since morally problematic social norms about sexual harassment happening in organizations, such as schools and companies, are also caused by traditional sexual discrimination. When it comes to self-sexual behaviors, middle and high school students are affected by personal variables (the masculine gender role and permissive sexual attitudes), interpersonal variables (peer influence and media), and exposure to sexual content via smart phones (without any notable exceptions). Based on the results of this research, it becomes clear that the impact of psychosocial factors and effect of education depend on the developmental stages of students, leading to diverse results. To be specific, middle school students tend to be affected by exposure to sexual content through smart phones and peer influence, while high school students are susceptible to gender roles and sexual attitudes. Thus, it becomes essential to teach adolescents appropriate usage of media and desirable sexual ideologies rather than to deprive them of chances to have access to mobile media.
