남북 사회문화 통합을 위한 교류협력의 과제 = Interchange and Cooperation for the Inter-Korean Social and Cultural Integration

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to examine the possibility of the Inter-Korean social and cultural integration, looking into the interchanges and cooperation. Both South and North Korea hold common history and tradition, which is a reason the two regimes will have to accomplish the reunification. It is, however, true that a 60-year national division makes both Koreas system and culture different and the resultant disparity has come to hindrance to the reconciliation between South and North Korea. Therefore, it is a very important task to identify and get over the difference between South and North Korea, and to lead to the recovery of national homogeneity for the reunification. The first step to accomplish national homogeneity and the reunification is social and cultural integration, which is facilitated by human interchange and inter-Korean cooperation. Especially South Korean humanitarian aid to relieve the poverty of the North promoted to recover national fraternity. Evaluating the inter-Korean social and cultural interchange and cooperation since 1989, both South and North had succeeded in becoming reconciled with each other. To expend and deepen inter-Korean relations in the future, the South needs to seek substantial ideas for various interchange and rearrange roles and functions of governmental and private sector.
