여성결혼이민자의 정신건강 영향요인에 관한 연구 = The Impact Factors on Mental Health among Marriage Migrant Women

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근, 문화적 다양성과 다문화가정의 확산으로 인해 여성결혼이민자들을 위한 양질의 보건의료서비스 제공에 대한 사회적 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 이 연구는 생태체계적 맥락에 근거하여, 여성 결혼이민자들의 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관해 살펴보고 여성결혼이민자들의 정신건강을 증진시키기 위한 방안을 제시하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 자료수집은 부산시에 거주하는 632명의 여성결혼이민자들을 대상으로 진행되었으며, 이를 통해 여성결혼이민자들의 정신건강 문제와 정신건강 영향요인을 고찰할 수 있었다. 연구의 주요 내용으로는 첫째, 학력과 소득수준, 자녀유무 등의 변인에서 조사대상자의 정신건강 수준이 유의미하게 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조사대상자의 정신건강과 관련변인과의 관계에서 문화적응스트레스와 가족관계 등과의 상관관계가 다른 요인들에 비해 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 요인은 생태체계적 요인들을 중심으로 위계적 회귀분석기법을 활용하여 살펴보았다. 연구결과 위계적 회귀모형에서는 조사대상자들의 정신건강에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석할 수 있었고, 그 결과 다음의 요인들이 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이들 요인들이 정신건강의 44.5％를 설명해 주었다. 조사결과, 여성결혼이민자들의 정신건강에 관한 보호요인으로 작용하는 것으로는 학력과 소득수준, 가족관계, 사회적 지지 및 교류 정도 등으로 나타났다. 반면 위험요인으로 작용하는 것으로는 문화적응스트레스와 가족생활사건으로 나타났고, 이들 요인들 중에서 조사대상자의 정신건강에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인으로는 문화적응스트레스 변인이었으며, 가족체계 관련변인들의 영향력 또한 크게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이상의 연구결과에 기초하여, 여성결혼이 민자들의 정신건강 문제를 예방하고 증진시키기 위한 정신보건사회복지실천 개입방안을 제안했다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Providing high quality and effective health care services become an important social issue that are due to increasing culturally diversity and multi-cultural family in these days. The objective of this study is to investigate the impacts of ecological variables on marriage migrant women`s mental health and to develop strategies to improve their mental health. Research subjects consist of 632 marriage migrant women who are living in Busan City. The main findings of this study were as following. First, there was a meaningful difference on the variables such as education, monthly income, presence of children regarding to mental health problem. Second, mental health problem was found to be strongly correlated with acculturation stress positively and family relationship negatively. Third, hierarchial linear regression analysis revealed that the higher education and monthly income, positive family relationship, frequent social contact with Koreans and much more the number of social support they had, the more positive mental health status they acquired. However, Higher acculturation stress and exposure to family distress events had a negative impact on mental health. The explanatory power was 44.5% and the most powerful impact factors was acculturation stress and then factors regarding to family system was also important factor. Based on these results, Psychiatric social work intervention strategies for improving those women`s mental health and cultural adaptation were suggested.
