바이오필릭 구현을 위한 오피스 건축의 외피연구 = A Study on the Envelopes of Office Architecture for the Realization of Biophilic Design

In Architecture, biophilic design is known as the theory that human health and efficiency are improved by creating built environmentsthrough natural elements, and it mainly focuses on comfortable indoor activities for humans. However, most of them were applied and usedin indoor spaces in a built environment, and the scope of their application was narrow. Therefore, this paper analyzes the biophilic designtheory by dividing it into sensuous design and technical design through prior research, and applies it to the external environment ofarchitecture through parametric design. The exterior of architecture is the primary boundary between the exterior and interior, and is importantbecause it exerts a strong sensual and environmental influence on the interior environment. In addition, buildings have a large impact onenvironmental issues, a global issue, and one of the biggest causes of energy load is the curtain-wall-type envelope. Many office architectureshave this problem. Therefore, by implementing a biophilic design on the outer skin and outer space of a high-rise building, the effect ofstimulating both human senses and functions is expected not only inside the building but also outside. In addition, based on the biophilicdesign theory, we hope to contribute to the natural environment by analyzing the theories of existing researchers and reinterpreting thembased on senses and experiences to suggest ways to apply biophilic design to the external environment of buildings.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

건축에서 바이오필릭 디자인이라는 것은 자연적 요소를 통한 건조환경 조성으로 인간의 건강과, 능률을 향상시킨다는 이론으로 알려져 있으며 주로 인간의 쾌적한 실내 활동에 주안점을 두고 있다. 다만 대부분이 건축환경에서 실내 공간에 적용되어 사용되는 것으로 그 적용 범위가 좁았다. 따라서 본 논문은 이러한 바이오필릭 디자인 이론을 선행연구를 통하여 감각적 디자인과, 기술적 디자인으로 나누어 해석해보고 파라메트릭 디자인을 통하여 건축의 외부 환경에 적용해보았다. 건축에서 외피는 외부와 내부의 1차적 경계선으로 그 내부환경에 감각적, 환경적으로 강력한 영향력을 미치기 때문에 중요하다. 또한 세계적인 이슈인 환경 문제에 건물이 많은 영향을 끼치고 있으며 에너지 부하의 가장 큰 원인 중 하나는 커튼홀 형식의 외피이다. 많은 사무소 건축이 이러한 문제를 갖고 있다. 따라서 고층건물의 외피와 외부공간에 바이오필릭 디자인을 구현함으로써 건물 내부는 물론 외부에서도 인간의 감각과 기능을 동시에 자극하는 효과가 기대된다. 또한 바이오필릭 디자인 이론을 바탕으로 기존 연구자들의 이론을 분석하고 감각과 경험을 바탕으로 재해석하여 건물의 외부 환경에 바이오필릭 디자인을 적용할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고 이를 통하여 자연환경의 의미가 더욱 발전되기를 바란다.
