This paper explores the utilization of low-cost GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite
System) receivers with multi-band support in the context of coordinate acquisition and
cadastral surveying. Low-cost GNSS receivers, given their economical pricing and
competitive performance, present a broad spectrum of applications.
Firstly, the study analyzes how multi-band support technology influences the accuracy
and reliability of GNSS receivers. Through experiments and measurements in various
environments, the impact of multi-band support on the accuracy of acquired
coordinates is examined and validated.
Secondly, this paper investigates the potential of utilizing multi-band supported
low-cost GNSS receivers in cadastral surveying. Real-world surveying data is employed
to showcase the differences between this type of receiver and traditional methods in
cadastral surveying.
The findings of this research contribute to a new perspective on the practicality and
future development directions of low-cost GNSS receivers. By showcasing the
possibilities and efficiencies of these technologies, particularly in cadastral surveying,
this paper provides a foundation for further exploration and utilization of
cost-effective and accurate positioning technologies.
