카프에서의 후쿠모토주의와 그 전위주의에 대한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

후쿠모토 카즈오의 후쿠모토주의가 지닌 전위주의적 성격은 당시 많은 일본과 조선의 젊은이들을 사로잡았다. 후쿠모토주의는 프롤레타리아 혁명을 앞당기려는 정치적 전위의 욕망을 충족시키기도 했지만, 동시에 삶과 결합된 새로운 예술을 창출하고자 하는 예술적 전위의 욕망을 자극하기도 했던 것이다. 즉 후쿠모토의 전위주의는 당시 정치적 전위의 이념을 의미하기도 했지만, 아방가르드 예술을 추구하는 이념을 가리키기도 한다.
후쿠모토가 주장한 결합 이전에 우선 분리하라는 주장은 ‘다이쇼적인 것’으로부터의 단절을 의미했다. 나카노 시게하루의 구세계(단가)와의 단절 의식처럼 후쿠모토도 루카치적인 맑스주의를 통해 제2인터내셔널을 따랐던 다이쇼 맑스주의와 단절하려고 했다. 후쿠모토주의가 제창한 단절은 바로 전위주의의 성격을 가지고 있었다. 그 단절의식은 동경 대지진 이후 새로 형성된 쇼와 시대의 근대 도시 문화와 연관된다.
후쿠모토의 전위의식에 공명한 임화나 권환, 김두용, 이북만 같은 카프 소장파 역시 구세계와 단절하고자 하는 의식을 갖고 있었다. 이들의 구세계에 대한 예술적, 정치적 단절 의식은 다이쇼 교양주의를 통해 문학을 배웠던 박영희나 김기진의 의식과는 상당히 다른 차원에 있었다. 박영희나 김기진은 다다를 실제 창작한 임화와는 달리, 기성 예술을 파괴하려는 아방가르드를 이해할 수 없었다. 그들은 예술은 파괴될 수 없는 것이며, 그렇기에 예술 운동도 예술의 테두리 안에서 정치를 ‘보좌’하는 정도로 생각했다. 그래서 그들은 예술을 정치 현장에 투입하려는 카프 소장파의 선전 선동 예술에 선뜻 동의할 수 없었다. 후쿠모토파인 소장파와 김기진 또는 박영희 사이의 논전은, 예술의 아방가르드 수용 문제와 구시대와의 ‘단절’의식의 문제와 관련되어 전개된 것이었다.
후쿠모토주의에 감화된 임화의 아방가르드적 예술 행위는, 1927년에는 단호한 문형을 반복하여 북소리와 같은 리듬을 창출하는 스타일을 보여주다가 1929년에는 '단편서사시'의 형식으로 변형된다. 임화가 본격적으로 영화 제작에 뛰어든 이후에야 그는 단편서사시를 창작했다. 그는 당시 가장 모던한 매체인 영화 기술을 습득하여 이를 단편서사시 창작에 적용햇던 것이다. 임화의 단편서사시는 선전 선동을 위해 아방가르드적인 기술(技術)을 실험한 것이었다.
권환은 시를 통해 직접적인 선전선동을 시도했다. 이는 시의 실제 재료를 창작품 못지않게 중요시했던 권환의 아방가르드적 시 의식에서 비롯된 것으로, 당시에는 퇴행이라기보다는 모던한 시도라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 임화와 권환 시의 전위적인 성격은 단결 이전에 분리하라는 후쿠모토주의의 단절적이고 전투적인 정치적 전위주의와 연결 된 것이었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

At that time, many young men of Japan and Korea were captured by the avant-gardism which Fukumotoism of Fukumoto Kazuo had. Fukumotoism not only satisfied the desire of political avant-garde which moves up the proletarian revolution, but also stimulated the desire of artistic avant-garde which creates the art combined with life. The avant-gardism of Fukumoto Kazuo meant the ideology of political avant-garde. It also meant the ideology of avant-garde art.
The Fukumoto Kazuo's insistence which should separate rather than combine meant the severance from Taisho. Through Fukumoto Lukacs's Marxism, Fukumoto Kazuo tried to break off the relations with Taisho's Marxism which had followed the Second International like Nakano Sigeharu's severance from the Old World. The severance which Fukumotoism insisted had kept the avant-gardism. The severance consciousness was related to the modern urbiculture of Showa Period formed newly after Tokyo Big Earthquake.
'The Younger Members' of KAPF such as Im Hwa, Kwon Hwan, Kim Doo-Yong, Lee Buk-Man who agree with avant-gardism of Fukumoto Kazuo also had kept the severance consciousness from the Old World. Their severance consciousness from the art and politics of Old World was very different from Park Young-Hi's or Kim Ki-Jin's consciousness who had learned the literature through Taisho's refinement.
Park Young-Hi and Kim Ki-Jin could not understand the avant-garde destroyed existing art unlike Im Hwa who created Dadaism actually. They thought that the art could not be destroyed and art movement should assist the politics within art category. Therefore they could not agree to the Propaganda, Agitation Art which the Younger Members of KAPF would inject the art into the political scene. The discussion between the younger members of Fukumotoism and Park Young-Hi, Kim Ki-Jin had been related to the acceptance of avant-garde art and the severance consciousness from the Old World.
The form of Japanese Poet Nakano Sigeharu's poem was influenced by Fukumoto literary style because Nakano Sigeharu inclined to Fukumotoism. The literary style of Nakano Sigeharu was to repeat the firm sentence structure and to create the rhythm like the sound of a drum. However these styles appeared in Im Hwa's poem announced in 1927 remarkably. The avant-garde art form of Im Hwa who had been influenced by Fukumotoism was transformed into a different way in 1929. Im Hwa started to create a short epic poem after he rushed into the film production in earnest. He learned the film technique which was the most modern medium at that time. He applied it to create a short epic poem. The short epic poem of Im Hwa was to experiment the technique of avant-garde for propaganda, agitation.
However these methods of Im Hwa were criticized for sentimentalism by Kwon Hwan early in 1930's. Im Hwa also accepted this criticism. The vacancy of Im Hwa was replaced by Kwon Hwan. Kwon Hwan tried to do the propaganda, agitation directly through poetry. This originated from the poem consciousness of avant-garde which Kwon Hwan thought that poetic material is as important as creation. This was a fresh attempt rather than regression. The avant-gardism of Im Hwa's and Kwon Hwan's poem was related to political avant-garde of Fukumotoism severance and Fukumotoism fight which should separate rather than combine.
