전래동화의 어휘 분석과 아동의 어휘발달 관계 연구 : 체언을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전래동화는 전통사회의 질서와 종교적 세계관을 포함하고 있으며, 전통사상과 문화가 언어를 매개로 자연스럽게 후세에 전승되는 특징을 가진다. 특히, 전래동화는 학령기전에 성인과 아동이 음성이나 몸짓, 표정 등을 통해 즐거움을 함께하는 도구로 활용되며, 재미있는 이야기 속에 숨겨진 조상의 지혜와 슬기를 자연스럽게 익히는 계기가 된다. 또한, 아동의 언어교육을 위해 전래동화의 활용이 필요하다는 인식은 모두가 공유하고 있는 사실이다. 그러나 아동기는 언어발달이 급속하게 변화하는 시기로서 개인차가 크므로 언어발달에 적합한 교재의 선택은 매우 어려운 과제로 여겨지며, 일반적으로 전래동화를 0-3세아, 4세-8세아 등으로 폭넓게 구분하고 있는 것이 현실이며, 이 시기의 언어발달은 양과 질에 있어 급격하게 변화하는 특성이 있어, 어휘력발달에 적합한 전래동화의 연령별 단계가 세밀할 필요성이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 아동의 어휘발달에 기초하여 전래동화의 어휘 구성이 아동의 연령 발달 변화에 적합한가를 평가하고 분석함으로써 아동의 어휘력 발달에 적합한 전래동화의 선택 기준을 제시하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean nation, while the traditional values and culture have the characteristics of being handed down to generations through the medium of language. In particular, adults and pre-school children (before their school age) utilize speech, gesture or facial expressions to share enjoyment, and through the entertaining story find a natural learning opportunity to learn wisdom and notion of sensibleness of their ancestors. The fact that there is a need for utilization of fairy tales for children's language education is a perception shared by all. Childhood is a period of rapid progress in language development, characterized by extensive individual differences, hence the task of selecting a suitable materials for language development in this period is regarded a difficult assignment. In reality, Korean fairy tale books are broadly divided into ranges for 0-3 year olds and 4-8 year olds. However, language development during this period has characteristics of rapidly changing quantity and quality, therefore it is necessary to specify the stages of fairy tale books suitable to the development process. Thus, this study evaluates and analyses the suitability of contents of fairy tales based on the development of children's vocabulary, and as a result, intend to present selection criteria suitable for children's development of vocabulary.
