ASP를 활용한 중소기업의 ERP시스템 구축방안에 관한 연구 = (A) Study on the Implementation plan of ERP System using ASP application in Medium and small-sized business

국문 초록 (Abstract)

급격히 변하고 있는 기업환경과 국경 없는 무한경쟁에서 살아남기 위해 기업들은 새로운 경영시스템이 필요하게 되었고, 이를 가능케하는 정보시스템으로 ERP시스템이 대두되었다. 그러나 중소기업에게 있어서는 ERP시스템의 도입과 활용은 막대한 구축비용, 구축기간의 과다소요 및 전문인력 확보의 어려움 등 여러 문제에 직면하고 있어 쉽게 도입할 수 없는 게 현실이다. 그리하여 본 논문은 그 대안으로 등장한 ASP(Application Service Provider)서비스를 활용하여 ERP시스템을 구축함으로써 생산성을 향상시키고 나아가 e비즈니스 환경에서 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있게 하는 것에 그 목적을 두고 있다.
ASP는 선진국에서는 상당히 활성화되어 있으나 국내에서는 아직 도입초기단계로 중소기업의 인식과 신뢰부족, 업종별 특성을 고려한 비즈니스 모델 부족 등의 이유로 확산에 많은 애로를 겪고 있는 실정이다.
그럼에도 불구하고 ASP를 통한 ERP시스템의 구축은 총소유비용을 줄여 초기투자비용을 절감할 수 있고, 신속한 구현과 월별 사용료 지급을 통해 IT예산을 예측 가능하게 하여 기업의 자금운영을 원활히 할 수 있는 등의 많은 장점을 가지고 있어 국내 중소기업의 정보화에 크게 기여하리라 본다.
따라서 중소기업이 ASP를 활용한 ERP시스템을 구축하여 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위해서는 ASP제공업체의 신뢰성 확보와 중소기업의 ASP에 대한 인식변화, 정부의 ASP산업 안정화에 대한 노력 등이 합쳐져야 할 것이다. 다시 말해서 ASP제공업체는 신뢰성 확보를 위해 인터넷 및 네트웍 인프라의 확충과 보안기술의 개발, 다양한 기업의 요구를 충족시킬 수 있는 다양한 솔루션 확보 등이 요구된다. 또한 중소기업은 ASP의 필요성을 인지하고, ERP패키지,ASP업체 선정 등 도입과정에서 필요한 의사결정을 신속 신중하게 하며, ERP패키지의 장점인 선진 프로세스를 적용할 수 있게 패키지수정을 업무를 표준화하는 작업이 필요하다. 마지막으로 정부는 기업의 ASP 도입이 용이하도록 자금지원이나 세제혜택과, ASP업체 인증제도,보험제도 등의 제도적 장치 마련에 적극적인 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

ERP system has introduced as the need for new management system is increasing in the rapidly changing business environment and unlimited competition across the borders. However, the medium and small-sized business face difficulties in adopting ERP system due to high set-up cost, long term project, problems in recruiting professionals and so on. Therefore, this study examines ASP (Application Service Provider) as an alternative and describes how we can implement ERP system and improve productivity by utilizing ASP service, and furthermore gain the competitive edge in the e-business environment.
Since ASP is in the introductory stage in Korea even it is widely spread in the developed countries, there are many problems in spreading due to the lack of the recognition and trust of medium-size company, and the development of business model that considers the characteristics of business type.
Despite those problems, the ERP system establishment through ASP will contribute to the information system of domestic medium-sized companies because it will reduce the initial investment through cutting total company’s own expenditure and make the corporate capital to flow smoothly by making the IT cost estimation possible through quick realization and monthly payment of user fee.
Therefore, for medium-sized company to obtain the competitive advantage of the establishment of ERP system through application of ASP, the reliance in ASP, the changes in medium-sized company’s perspective, and governmental support on stabilization of ASP industry should be preceded. In other words, ASP should expand its Internet and network infrastructure, enhance the security technology, and create various solution that will satisfy the needs of various corporations in order to be reliable. For medium-sized company, they need to recognize the necessity of ASP, process the decision making stage quickly such as selection of ERP package and ASP company, and then standardize the work process in order to adopt the developed process which is believed the merits of ERP package. Finally, government should provide more financial support and tax benefit to facilitate the ASP introduction, and prepare other systematic regulation such as license of ASP company, insurance and so on.
