A significant change in the curriculum in Korean Sports and Leisure leaders can be observed recently. The major reason for this change is the increasing demand for instructors in the commercial sport sector.
The purpose of this study was to clarify the professional knowledge and abilities required for an instructor in the commercial sport managemant.
A Survey was conducted by using a random sample of employees in the commercial Sport facilities.
The results of the survey show the majority of sport instructors are required not only teach but to do task involved in sport managemant.
Nevertheless, they are not really ready to do all the managemant tasks required.
