This study aimed to analyze recent research studies on Work-Life Balance(WLB) published in domestic scholarly journals since 2000. This study used databases such as Research Information Service System(RISS), DBPIA, Korean Studies Information Service System(KISS), and finally 55 articles were selected and analyzed in terms of study participants, research methods, study fields, and study themes. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were employed. In terms of the study participants, employees in private companies and government were the major targets, and seven studies included only females. Most studies employed a survey method asking participants` subjective perception of work-life balance, and there were quite a few policy studies. The study fields that mostly produced articles on work-life balance were home economics, business, and human resource development. In terms of the study themes, more studies included organizational variables than personal variables as a factor affecting work-life balance. Work-life balance was mainly measured by participants` subjective perception rather than objective indicators, and the outcome variables mostly included were job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and intention to change jobs. Based on these results, future research directions were suggested.
