삼국사기를 중심으로 한 삼국시대 여행史 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research is to highlight the meanings and implications of the ancient Koreans travel patterns and characteristics in terms of travel history. Based on the analysis of History of Three Kingdoms - Sam Gook Sa Ki, four research questions were suggested and nine travel components were highlighted: travel purposes, travel destinations, travel periods, travel routes, travel budget, travel transport modes, accommodation types, food types, and travel experiences and accidents. A Korean version of History of Three Kingdomswas analyzed as qualitative research. The most frequent travel purpose was foreign affairs. The most visited travel destinations were the capitals of the ancient Chinese kingdoms. Travel periods and travel routes were not recorded clearly. Travel expenditure for Silla students (including Buddhist monks) was supported by the Silla and Dang dynasties, respectively. As for travel transport, walking, horses, and carts were used. Government inns and temples were provided as accommodation. Rice and millet were used as general food for travelers. Accidents often occurred during travel and some ambassadors were drowned in the sea because of typhoons. Some ancient Koreans travelled illegally overseas, whereas some foreigners traveled accidently to Silla.
