    Various abilities shown in all the human activities can not be discriminated unless specific external reguirements are provided.
    So far, many estimating patterns have been developted and examined to objecify ambiguous characters tike human mental status and personality such as psychology test, personality test, adaptability test.
    Designer's abilities have been valued at work or educational places by others just because they are experienced previously. But, the measurement of the valuations have been doubted in the aspect of reliability and objectibility.
    The main purpose of psychological, educational standardization patterns taken untill today, is to discover evidences of individual intelligency, interest, personality and adaptability and get help from those result to understand themselves so that they can adopt to diverse societies.
    Therefore, the pupose of this research is one type of approach to estimate designer's quality and capability.
    I obtain a conclusion that it is a very cautious research that valuing and developing an estimating pattern in the view point of design instructor for valuating and developting pattern in the view point of design instructor for valuating and developing a new estimating pattern since design preformance is materialized by numerous and sythentic effect like sensorbility, imaginability, ability of memory, analysis and so on.
    However, it is an approching research with a thought that valuing designer's presentational ability and educational instruction are inventive way of better and efficient education.
    The subject of this study is to develop a prognosis model to estimate design awareness as a design skill. The target test group consisted of students applying to major in relative design and high school and college students majoring in relative design. The following conclusions were drawn-
    1) In the target group, the estimated design awarenss of college students was greater than that of vocational high school students.
    2) In the target group, the estimated design awareness of males was greater than that of females, both in high school and college.
    3) In the target group, the estimated design awareness of higher grade students was greater than that of lower grade students, both in high school and college.
    4) In the target group, the estimated design awarenss of third grade students in normal high school was greater than that of students in vocational high school.
    In conclusion, one's level of design awareness is influenced both directly and indirectly by the extent of one's design study.
    Therefore, systematic teaching in the field of design education and the study and implementation design education methods to improve design expression skills can increase one's design ability.
