This paper is intended to provide guidelines for marketing cooperatives in Korea on the basis of the best practices. We analyzed 14 cases and found that they emphasize cooperative principles(member = user = controller = beneficiary). And they pursue member organization and economy of scale in order to enhance market power. They are showing a marked performance in the agricultural and livestock products market. We propose the ten guidelines in accordance with the cooperative principles for promoting the marketing & supply business of Korea Agriculture Cooperatives. Through the guidelines, We expect to increase the economic benefits for members, and at the same time to contribute to the development of local agriculture and rural communities.
