Eco-city is the city maintenance and preparation drive which considers the coexistence of human being and environment, makes city's environmental burden less. It has originated from the reconsideration of recent situation; with the rapid urbanization, the progress of material civilization has added environmental burden, demand of energy and resources, and industrial garbages on natural environment.
In this article, the following points will be reviewed ; 1) the definition and significance of an eco-city and green network, 2) the composition factor of green network, 3) the base investigation for making of green network system, 4) the concept design around green network of Yangsuri and Yongdamri-it's devided to core, spot, point and corridor area, 5) a brief conclusion and suggestion.
The core area is selected as Yongnub, Gaemigidorang, Gungdul and agricultural area as bio-diversity potential area and dumulmuri area. The spot area is selected around railroad and sapling area. The point area is selected three children parks, open space of Yangsu station and reserved tree around dumulmuri area and low density house and shop. The corridor area is selected number 6 national road and roadside tree area.
