本試驗은 땅콩의 生育期間을 연장시켜 收量을 높이고자 殖壤土와 微砂土에 polyethylene 被覆區(mulching)와 無被覆區로 設計하여 實施한 바 그 結果를 下記와 같이 要約한다.
(1) 殖壤土
① 10時에 調査한 平均地面溫度는 5月 30日까지 被覆區가 無被覆區보다 5.3℃ 높았으며 地中溫度는 無被覆보다 被覆區가 6月 25日까지 平均 2.4℃ 높았다.
② 發芽期는 4月 1日 播種區에서 被覆區가 無被覆區보다 發芽가 11日 短縮되었고,5月 1日 播種期는 4日間 短縮되었다.
③ 開花期는 4月 10日과 5月 1日 播種區에서 被覆區는 無被覆區에 比하여 각각 13日間씩 短縮되었다.
④ 主莖長 및 地上部의 生育은 어느 播種區나 被覆함으로써 初期生育이 촉진됨을 認定하였다.
⑤ 100粒重은 被覆하므로 增加하였으며 莢實比率도 높아지는 경향이었다.
⑥ 種實水梁은 無被覆區보다 被覆區가 모든 播種區에서 增收되나, 早期播種區일수록 그 效果가 높았다.
(2) 微砂土
① 被覆區와 無被覆區의 溫度差異는 殖壤土의 경우 약간의 差異가 있었으나 大體的으로 같은 傾向을 보였다.
② 發芽期는 4月 1日 播種區에서無被覆區보다 被覆區가 18日 短숙되었고 5月 1日 播種期는 3日間 短縮되었다.
③ 主莖長 및 分枝長 被覆하므로 현저히 生育增大를 보였다.
④ 株當着莢數는 被覆함으로써 5月 1日 播種區를 除外하고 모두 着莢數가 增加하였다.
⑤ 100粒重은 4月 1日 播種區가 58.7g로서 無被覆區보다 3.1g의 粒重의 增加를 보였다.
⑥ 種實收量은 어느 播種區에서나 被覆함으로써 增收되었으나, 특히 早播區일수록 增收效果가 높았다.

The experiments were conducted at clay loam soil and silt loam soil. In order to investigate the prolongation of growth period by polyethylene film mulching and no-mulching, and too, to increase the peanut seed yields. The results are summarized as follow.
A. Clay loam soil
1).The average temperature from seeding to May 30th of topsoil is 5.3℃ higher by polyethylene film mulching plot than no-mulching plot, and under-soil temperature is 2.4℃ higher than no-mulching plot.
2). The germination period was shortened as much as Ⅱdays at mulching culture plot on April 1st seeding, and also much as 4 days at mulching culture plot on May 1st seeding plot.
3). The period sowing to flowering was generally shortened by polyethylene mulching, so that, on April 10st and May 1st sowing plot shortened as much as 18 days, respectively.
4). The growth of main stem and branches were elongated at the polyethylene mulching culture plot than the no-mulching.
5). The one hundred seed weight and the ratio of maturity was increased and higher at the polyethylene mulching plot than the no mulching plot.
6). The seed yield was very much increased at the mulching culture plot, and certainly, the early sowing plot was more increased than delayed sowing plot.
B. Silt loam soil
1). The soil temperature variation of mulching plot and no-mulching plot was generally same as clay loam soil plot.
2). The period from sowing to flowering on April 1st sowing plot was shortened as much as 18 days, and on May 1st seeding plot was shortened 3 days at the polyethylene mulching culture plot.
3). The growth of main stem and branches were more elongated at the polyethylene mulching culture plot than the no-mulching plot.
4). Number of fruit pods by per plant was increased through all sowing period except the sowing plot of May 1st.
5). One hundred of seed weight was increased at the polyethylene mulching plot, and it makes 3.1g difference between mulching culture plot and the no-mulching one in case of the sowing plot on April 1st.
6). The seed yield was higher increased on the all mulching culture plot, and especially, more increased at early sowing plot than delayed time of sowing plot.
