다니엘 2장과 7장의 관계로 읽는 천년왕국 = The Eschatological Vision of Millennium in Daniel 2

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article deals with eschatology of Daniel 2 with a focus on problems that are concerned with dispensationalism. The hewn stone embodies God’s judment that will redeem the people of God by destroying the sinful kingdoms of humanity. As the parallel strucutre between Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 suggests, this salvific judgment of God was realized through the advent of the One like a Son of Man. The scene in which the hewn stone strikes the fourth kingdom in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 2 is resonant with that in which the Son of Man figure is enthroned as the messianic ruler of the eternal kingdom of God in Daniel 7. Also, the hewn stone that demolishes the statue ultimately envisions the exaltation Jesus Christ through his vicarious death and victorious resurrection. This means that the so-called the millennium has been launched along with the first coming of Christ. Furthermore, Daniel 2 and 7 portray not only the kingdom of God that is already realized but also one that will be completed. The moment in which the hewn stone at once the whole of the statue in Daniel 2 implies the divine salvation that will be made only after the appointed time of the saint’s troubles: “a time, times, and half a time” (Dan 7:25). This means the eschatological vision of the divine kingdom of Daniel is relevant with the second coming of Christ.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

세대주의적 전천년주의자들의 주장에 따르면 소위 천년왕국은 휴거와 대 환난 이후 실현될 예수 그리스도의 지상에서 통치 천년의 기간을 가리킨다. 이 논문은 다니엘 2장의 신상 및 잘린 돌에 관한 세대주의적 전천년주의자들의 해석을 소개하고 그 해석의 문제점들을 주석적으로 검토한다. 다니엘 2장에서 잘린 돌은 이스라엘을 구원하고 세상을 심판하실 하나님의 권능이며, 그 권능은 예수 그리스도의 초림을 통해 실현되었다. 다니엘 2장의 잘린 돌이 넷째 나라를 치는 장면은 다니엘 7장의 인자 같은 이가 영원한 하나님 나라의 군왕으로 즉위하는 장면을 다시 보여준다. 잘린 돌이 신상을 친 사건은 예수 그리스도께서 로마 제국 시대에 언약 백성에게 오셔서 그의 십자가 대속의 죽음과 부활을 통해 승귀하신 사건이고, 따라서 천년왕국은 그리스도의 재림 이후가 아니라 초림 이후에 이미 시작되었다. 또한 잘린 돌이 신상을 단번에 쳐서 완전히 파괴하는 “한 순간”은 7장에서는 하나님의 성도가 “세 때 반”이라는 “정해진 기간”의 고난을 다 채운 다음에야 비로소 이뤄질 하나님의 구원이다. 이는 곧 다니엘 2장의 잘려진 돌이 신상을 치고 그 신상이 바람에 쓸려 날아가고 그 돌이 온 세상을 채우는 순간적 장면은 그리스도의 초림이자 동시에 재림임을 시사한다. 다니엘 7장이 다니엘 2장의 순간을 종말의 긴 시대로 재연하기 때문이다. 다니엘 2장의 잘린 돌과 7장의 인자 같은 이의 평행성이 예수 그리스도의 초림을 통한 하나님 나라의 도래와 수립을 말해준다면, 신상이 다 사라진 온 세상을 잘린 돌이 채운 장면과 고난 받던 성도들이 하나님의 궁극적인 구원을 받는 장면의 평행성은 예수 그리스도의 재림으로 완성될 천년왕국의 최종적 미래를 알려준다.
