병원 간호사가 지각하는 환자안전 관리 활동의 중요성 인식과 수행 = Perception and Performance about Patient Safety Management for Hospital Nurses

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate differences on perception and performance about patient safety management for hospital nurses. Methods: This Study was a descriptive survey design using convenience sampling. After IRB approval exemption, nurses(N=245), who agreed to participate in this study completed a self-report Questionnaire from June to July, 2014. The collected data was analyzed with SPSS 20.0 program, which was used for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: The major findings of this study were as follows. 1) The score of perception about patient safety management for participants was 4.41±0.39, and the score of performance was 4.61±0.46, 2) For perception, there was significant differences among age(F=6.472, p=.002), sex(t=-4.769, p=.009), marital status(F=5.262, p=.006), job period(F=5.593, p=.001), and for performance, there was also significant differences marital status(F=5.603, p=.004), education experience about patient safety management(t=2.176, p=.042). 3) The score of performance was significant higher than perception(t=-9.894, p<.001). 4) Higher perception score was significantly related to having higher performance score(r=.580, p<.001) for patient safety management. Conclusion: The finding of this study gives a useful information for establishing effective education according to their job period for nurse and in advance, nurse should play major coordinating role in the patient safety management situations.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 병원 간호사의 환자안전 관리 활동의 중요성 인식과 수행을 파악하고 이들의 상관관계를 알아보기 위함이다. 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 대학병원 간호사 재학생 245명을 임의 표집하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficiency로 분석하였다. 이에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 대상자의 환자안전 관리 활동의 중요성 인식 점수는 4.41점이었고, 수행점수는 4.61점으로 대체로 높은 편이었다. 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 환자안전관리 활동의 중요성의 인식은, 나이, 성별, 결혼 상태, 근무기간에 따른 차이가 있었고, 환자안전 관리 활동의 수행은 결혼 상태, 환자안전 관리 교육경험에 따라 차이가 있었다. 대상자의 환자안전 관리 활동의 중요성 인식과 수행의 상관관계 분석 결과, 두 변수는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 따라서 본 연구 결과를 통해 병원 간호사의 환자안전 관리 활동의 중요성에 대한 인식과 수행이 과거에 비해 높아졌으나, 여전히 환자안전 관리 활동에 대한 교육경험이 중요함을 알 수 있으며, 병원 간호사의 환자안전 관리 활동을 위한 체계적 교육 프로그램 개발과 적용이 필요하다.
