이야기 사례로 재해석해 본 우리의 통합교육 뒤안길 = 통합교육의 빛과 그림자

국문 초록 (Abstract)

통합교육은 분리교육의 전제를 담고 있는 용어이다. 즉, 다수자(majority)와 다른 소수자(minority)를 사회에서 배척하였던 시대에서 이들을 사회의 일원으로 인정하여 함께하는 사회를 만드는 것이기에 사람에 대한 신뢰의 회복운동이라고 할 수 있다. 이것이 가능하려면 잠시잠깐의 인위적 노력이나 운동(movement)으로가 아닌 인간에 대한 믿음을 ‘구도(求道)’적 정신으로, 인간의 존엄성 앞에 그동안의 잘못된 오만(傲慢)의 신을 벗는 ‘탈화(脫靴)’의 정신으로, 긴장의 팽팽한 관계에서 한 발씩 물러나 자신을 돌아보는 ‘여백(餘白)’의 정신으로, 묵은 근시적 관념의 안경에서 새롭게 보려는 원시적 ‘안경(眼鏡)’의 정신으로, 편견으로 구멍 난 지식을 새롭게 메우는 ‘메움’의 정신으로, 새롭게 바라보는 ‘해석(解釋)’의 정신으로, 장애인 당사자를 잃어버리고 자신의 영달에 빼앗겼던 ‘위치(位置)’회복의 정신으로 돌아가 내가 서 있는 시간의 공간(空間)에서 최선을 다하는 정신회복이 필요할 것으로 보아 담론중심의 이야기 사례를 재해석하여 우리의 통합교육을 회고하였다. 따라서 이 연구는 주관적 관점에서 해석된 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this article was to identify the problems of inclusive education practices in Korea, and to suggest some alternatives for them.
For this, the author first gave an overview of the history of Korean inclusive education, and then discussed several problems and their solutions that previously suggested by several scholars for better inclusive education in Korea.
Furthermore, the author discussed essential perspectives of human being through citing several philosophical stories and scriptures for improving the quality of inclusive education in Korea.
Finally, the author insisted that inclusive education should be addressed from the perspective of social inclusion.
