This study targeted high school and college students and aimed at preparing the measures to be helpful to the maintenance and improvement of skin health by identifying the interest of the subjects in general features, appearances and cosmetic surgery and skin care practice. The outcomes of this study are presented below: First, as a result of classifying the groups depending on interest in appearances, the group with intermediate level of interest in appearances were 40.5% (81 students), which was highest. A significant difference was demonstrated depending on gender, and female students showed higher interest in appearances (high level group) than males students. Moreover, college students` interest in appearances (high level group) was higher than the high school students. Second, Skin care practice was categorized as high, intermediate and low categories. Third, Females were more interested in appearances than males. Fourth, as for skin care practice by high school and college students, in the case of the male high school students, skin care practice (intermediate level group) was highest at 46% (7.26). Fifth, looking into skin care practice depending on interest in appearances, the mean value of low level group of skin care practice was 5.05, the intermediate level group 7.64 and the high level group was 10.10. In the follow up research, various regions and age brackets and higher number of subjects are considered to be required.
