다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)
This study aims to enhance parental involvement in mathematics education. For this purpose, the issues concerning the maximization of parental involvement in children`s mathematics education are discussed; various parental involvement programs in math are reviewed; needs of elementary teachers and parents for parental involvement in math education are identified by the questionnaires. From this study the followings are suggested: (1) School-home partnership is crucial to enhance parental involvement in math. (2) Mathematics activities which children do with parents at home should be embeded in their everyday life. (3) Parents` and teachers` concept of nature of mathematics should be broaden.
