본 연구는 연구가 중단됨에 따라 상기 연구목차의 전체 여섯 개의 단락(I. ~ VI.) 중에서 현재까지 세 단락(I. ~ III.) 까지 이루어졌으며 각 단락의 연구진행 내용 및 결과는 다음과 같다.

국내의 낭만주의 연구동향에서 제대로 연구되지 못했던 부분을 지적하고, 그 분야의 연구의 필요성과 중요성을 강조하며 본 연구의 주된 목적을 밝히고 있다. 요컨대 Universalpoesie에 대한 심층적인 연구의 필요성과 Universalpoesie 개념이 품고 있는 낭만주의 미학의 핵심을 연구하고자 하는 연구방향과 그 의의를 적고 있다.

II. 통합문학으로서의 Universalpoesie의 개념

이 단원에서는 Universalpoesie가 갖고 있는 특성의 고찰을 통해 슐레겔이 규정한 낭만주의 문학의 본질을 규명하고 있다. 이를 위해서 우선 Universalpoesie의 외형적인 면을 파악하고 슐레겔을 비롯한 낭만주의자들이 추구하고자 했던 낭만주의 문학의 실체를 밝혀보았다. 이를 위해 이 단원에서는 다음과 같이 두 개의 소단원으로 나누었다.
