교사가 지각한 유아의 기질과 유아의 자기조절능력 및 사회적 능력과의 관계 = The Relationship Between Teachers' Perceptions of Children's Temperament, Self-Regulation and Social Competence

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between teachers' perceptions of children's temperament, self-regulation and social competence with a sample of 236 children and 9 kindergarten teachers in Gwangju City. The collected data were analyzed by simple regression and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/PC Computer Program.
The major results of this study were as follows; First, children's activity commonly was significantly related to self-regulation according to age and gender. Second, adaptability, activity, physiological rhythmicity, reactivity were significantly related to social competence according to age and gender. Emotionality was not significantly related to social competence.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교사가 지각한 유아의 기질과 유아의 자기조절능력 및 사회적 능력과의 관계를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 광주광역시 C유치원 유아 236명과 그들의 교사 9명을 선정하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 교사가 지각한 유아의 기질 중 활동성이 자기조절능력과 부적 관계를 보였다. 연령별로는 3세 유아의 경우 활동성이 자기조절능력과 부적 관계가 있었다. 성별로는 여아의 경우에만 활동성이 자기조절능력과 부적 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사가 지각한 유아의 기질 중 적응성, 활동성, 규칙성, 반응성은 긍정적 사회능력과, 활동성과 반응성은 부정적 사회능력과 의미 있는 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연령별로도 각각 의미 있는 예언관계가 있었다. 성별로는 남아의 경우 적응성, 반응성, 활동성은 긍정적 사회능력과, 활동성과 반응성은 부정적 사회능력과 의미 있는 관계가 있었으며, 여아는 적응성, 활동성, 규칙성, 반응성이 긍정적 사회능력과, 활동성은 부정적 사회능력과 의미 있는 예언 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
