세계 반미주의 연구 = A Study of World Anti-Americanism

국문 초록 (Abstract)

반미주의는 이미 오래전부터 학문적 연구의 대상이 되어 왔다. 그러나 세계 곳곳의 반미주의는 각각 상이한 역사성과 문화성을 갖고 있는 관계로, 대부분의 연구는 단편적인 사례연구에 치우쳐왔다. 이런 현실을 고려하여 본 논문은 세계 반미주의에 관한 ‘의미 있는’ 분류를 시도함으로써, 초보적이나마 학문적 체계화를 위한 이론적 기반 제공을 목적으로 작성되었다. 이런 목적을 위해 본 논문은 우선, 제 II장에서는 세계 반미주의의 주요 형태와 내용을 검토ㆍ분석했다. 이어 제 III장에서는 ‘반미의 지속성’과 ‘미국과의 문화적 거리’를 기준으로 세계 반미주의를 6가지로 분류하고 각 유형별로 치유가능성과 위험성을 진단했다. 그 결과를 바탕으로 제 IV장에서는 세계 반미주의의 변화 가능성을 전망하는 한편 장래 한국 반미주의에 대한 시사점을 도출했다.

A Study of World Anti-Americanism

Anti-Americanism has been a subject of study in academic world for a long time. But most of the studies are only fragmentary case studies of anti-Americanism in a region or a nation. as every anti-Americanism throughout the world has a various kind of historical and cultural particularity. In the consideration of it, this paper was made to build a theoretical base for the study of world anti-Americanism by a 'meaningful' categorizing.
For the purpose of it, this paper examined and analysed regional characteristics of anti-Americanism in chapter II. In chapter III, this paper categorized world anti-Americanism in six types based on 'the historical continuation of anti-Americanism' and 'the cultural distance from America' and examined 'the possibility of cure' and 'the level of danger' for every type. In chapter IV, on the basis of it, this paper prospected for possibilities of change in every type of anti-Americanism and suggestions for future Korean anti-Americanism.
