한문학 연구의 방향과 ‘민족’ = Direction of Chinese Literature Studies in Korea and ‘Nation’

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Study of Chinese literature in Korea began at the moment of its death in modern era. Therefore, Study of Chinese literature have had many ‘National Problems’. Today, study of Chinese literature in Korea, faced with globalization, pursues new knowledge and method. It is that changing it direction from literary art to cultural interpretation of everyday life. Therefore, it should participate in globalization as a cultural subject. It should not ‘prove’ literary fact of Chinese literature in past nor ‘interpret’ it by today’s need. It should unify ‘proof’ and ‘interpretation’. Furthermore, national problem should not be pursued by the unilateral value of exclusivism. The study of Chinese literature in Korea extend its perspective of national problem to be harmonized with other nation and make a cultural relation of mutual understanding in East Asia. Foremost, it requires the pursuit of ‘open self identity’.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국문학 연구의 초기 단계인 조윤제는 민족주의와 세계주의를 어떻게 인식하는지 검토․비판하였다. 이를 기반으로 전통사회 한문학의 어문 인식을 살피고, 한문학의 민족적 내용 문제인 민족적 자아, 민중성과 현실주의, 근대적 민족의식의 양상과 성격을 검토하였다.
그리하여 한문학 연구의 방향과 민족문제에 관한 몇 가지 결론을 도출하였다. 탈근대․탈민족의 논리에는 동의하지 않으나 세계화에 대응하는 시각과 방법의 변화를 적극 모색한다. 문화론적 생활사적 연구의 방향, 민족적 인식의 갱신, 실증과 해석의 통합을 추구한다. 민족문제는 문화적 주체성을 가진 개인과 집단의 관계, 공동체 문화를 이해하여 일국주의적 가치가 아닌 동아시아적 시각 위에 열린 자아를 추구해 나가야 할 것이다.
