중국 고전소설에서 나타나는 성 묘사와 사랑 표현의 부조화 양상에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구자가 보기에 고대 중국인들의 性 의식은 이율배반적이어서 정상적인 부부나 주동인물(=주인공)의 성행위는 몇 개의 짧은 표현으로 간단하지만 아름답게 처리하는 반면에 不倫과 私通을 저지르는 남녀의 성행위 묘사는 상당히 자세하고 사실적이지만 부정적인 뉘앙스로 그리고 있다.
성행위와 사랑의 표현을 모순적으로 그리는 이런 표현 경향은 청대 재자가인 소설에서는 더욱 분명하게 드러나는데, 남자주인공(才子)이 사모하는 여자주인공(佳人)에 대해서는 정성과 마음을 다하지만, 이들 사이에는 행위로서의 性愛는 일어나지 않는다. 오히려 佳人은 음심을 품는 才子에게 禮敎를 들먹이며 꾸짖을 뿐이다. 재미있는 것은 이들 才子의 性的 대상이 佳人의 하녀들일 경우가 많다는 것이다. 즉, 才子에게 있어 사랑의 대상과 性慾의 대상은 철저히 구분되어 있는 것이다. 더욱 흥미로운 것은 남자의 性的 행위를 대하는 佳人의 태도이다. 이들은 才子가 자기의 하녀와 성행위를 나누었다는 사실을 알면서도 남자를 탓하거나 파렴치하게 여기지 않고 자연스럽게 받아들인다.
그런데 ‘性과 사랑의 분리’라는 현상은 비단 중국 고대 소설에서만 등장하는 것이 아니다. 서구 근대시기의 로맨스 소설들을 보면 여성에 대한 남성들의 끝없는 구애와 사랑 고백이 주요한 내용을 차지하는데, ‘봉건영주에 대한 기사의 충성’이라는 관계를 ‘여성에 대한 남성의 숭배’로 재현해놓은 듯한 중세시기 로망스에서부터 근대의 연애소설에 이르기까지 이들 작품에서 성행위와 사랑은 철저히 분리된다. 이들 작품들은 성행위를 부정적인 욕망의 시각으로, 디테일한 사랑의 묘사를 연애의 본질로 규정하고 있다는 점에서 청대 재자가인 소설과 공통점을 가진다. 다만, 서구의 연애소설이 사랑이라는 감정을 결혼이라는 제도와 단절시키고 있는데 반해 재자가인 소설은 거의 대부분이 행복한 결혼으로 사랑을 완성시키는 구도를 보여준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The existence of human is closely related to the body .It’s important to the individuals, peoples and cultures .In the modern social theory, the body has entered all kinds of fields occupied a central position. Literature is closly related to the body ----especially to the woman’s body .
Firstly, in the literature, the female’s body is often given multiple significance and symbol function . The female body should be entirely belong to their own in the point of Biological sense, however, as feminists have pointed out, the body is a powerful symbol form . The primary rules of the culture , the hierarchy and even metaphysical agreement are recorded and even strengthened in this surface. In the history of the Literary ,men createthe the female’s body rhetoric.Male writers strongly emphasiz the rhetorical function of the female body, treat the female body as objects, materializ, meaning code the female body.As a tradition ,it still exists in contemporary male works. In the 1980s and 1990s, women began to awke up and liberate theselves, began to write the body, shape their body image, to express their feelings of the body. As the result, the female body was opened to the literature, and they intersected and supported each other.Thus the female body rhetoric was rebuilt .
Secondly, the female body is associated with the desire . The 20th century is full of desire. At different periods of the history, there are different interpretations of desire .After the 1980s, in the literatura , the interpretation of desire is closely linked to the body - particularly the female body. As the object of desire and the principle part , The female body shows different character in different gender author’s works .
