Amid the growing globalization, factors that represent the image of the country include the creativity, aesthetic, and tradition of the Korean people in addition to macro factors. It would be crafts, architecture, painting, etc. that would show these cultures well. Among them, crafts have long developed together with the needs of people in their lives, showing the image of a country and apearing its culture. I think the craft sector should be well expressed as a cultural product and respond to globalization because it is a field that represents Korea's traditional and historical culture that has been formed for a long time. With the rapid development of the industry, our country has embraced and imitated foreign cultures without any criticism. Recently, interest in Korea has naturally increased due to the cultural status of Korea, which has risen globally, rather than the perception that traditional things are uncomfortable and foreign cultures are cool, comfortable, and useful. Interest in this naturally leads to interest in unique culture, raising awareness of Korea's traditional culture and attracting more and more attention worldwide. At this time, I think it is important to understand our strengths well, establish uniqueness, utilize it well, and develop it. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and present the direction of craft cultural products with this potential, and to analyze the projects of three state-funded institutions (Korea Crafts and Design Culture Promotion Agency, Korea Foundation, and National Museum Foundation).
First, individuals and companies that have developed excellent craft and cultural products after the project is completed need follow-up support projects with continuity of the project. As for excellent craft and cultural products, it is necessary to expand follow-up support to grow into a brand that can represent Korean craft and cultural products in the global society.
Second, it is necessary to expand support that can be reinterpreted from a modern point of view based on traditional unique technology and produced in conjunction with techniques as well as design. Simple functionality alone limits the value of products, and traditional crafts, which contain unique cultures built up over the years, become competitive when added to products. Only then will the difference and value of our country's cultural products be further increased. In order to melt cultural values into craft products, it is necessary to expand support projects to create excellent craft and cultural products through communication and collaboration by providing a venue for continuous exchanges between contempo -rary artists and traditional craft technology holders.
Third, we need a support project for the development of craft culture products that can be more easily enjoyed by the general public in their daily lives. Due to Covid-19, social distancing has become commonplace, increasing time spent indoors and naturally increasing interest in interior, cooking, baking, and crafts. As a result, demand for products and craft DIY kits that can be used for interior design increased. It is necessary to develop advanced craft and cultural products that can satisfy cultural and emotional needs through cultural experience and understanding by directly participating by consumers as a craft and cultural product that can be easily experienced.
If we know the direction of craft culture products through this study and apply them and develop them, the value of Korean craft culture products will be further improved and it will have a positive impact on the industrial aspect. Furthermore, we hope that it will help to grow the economy and enhance the national image.
