노인복지시설의 호스피스 서비스 실태

The purpose of this study is to grasp of actual condition of hospice service to effectively provide hospice service of nursing home. In a method of study to achieve this purpose, a positive research and literature study have been perfomed at the same time. Concerning contents to be examined as definition of service about hospice for the aged, foreign hospice, a literature study to support a theoretical background has presented leading studies as an analysis form of this study. In order to attain the purpose of this study, the positive research is to carry out a survey of demand and desire of people who have already got hospice service in the first place as a fact-finding survey related to the subject of hospice service, investigate organizations to operate nursing home in the second place as a survey of supply system to provide hospice service. Therefore, through a questionaire, it is 1) examine the present condition and difficulties, focusing on the old who are getting hospice service, 2) investigate whether hospice service is provided now and whether a condition to provide hospice service is prepared, focusing on skilled nursing home, nursing home and aged home in the whole country. The results of this study is summarized as follows. In contents of service, it showed that there`s no specific difference between kinds of service carried out at hospice organizations now and service contents answered by geriatric patients. Therefore, the hospice service in a nursing home should be strengthened focusing on the present carried-out service such as basic nursing activity, physical care, assessment of problems of the old and their family, health check, medication and treatment, counseling and education, moral support, spiritual care, funeral aid, financial help, family management etc.
