Sampling inspection by variables is being used in inspections that reduce the number of inspections and are
expensive, such as destructive inspection. KS Q ISO 3951-1:2013 sampling procedures for inspection by variables for percent nonconforming is an acceptance quality limit (AQL) type sampling scheme. KS Q ISO 3951-1 is supplemented with KS Q ISO 2859-1, and the same terminology and switching rules are used. In this paper, we discuss theoretical considerations for continuous sampling and strictly switching rules. In addition, the methodology is discussed through case analysis so that it can be easily applied in practice.
