의료패널자료를 활용한 우리나라의 의료이용 불평등 측정 = Measurement of Inequalities in Health Care Utilization in Korea Using Korea Health Panel

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study aims to measure equity in healthcare utilization focusing on horizontal equity, equal treatment for equal needs. The result shows that either low-income group use more health care service than other groups or all groups equally use health care service in terms of quantity of utilization. On the other hand, high-income group spends more health care expenses. To summarize, the quantity of health care utilization is equally distributed given the result that health care services are used more by people with low-income, assuming their medical needs are greater than others. However, healthcare spending is higher in high-income group. Thus, we suggest that the quality and intensity of healthcare utilization is in proportion to income.
