어머니의 심리적 통제가 대학생의 성인애착에 미치는 영향 = 인정욕구의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 애착이론을 토대로 어머니의 심리적 통제가 대학생의 성인애착에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이 과정에서 인정욕구의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울 경기지역 대학생 281명을 대상으로 설문지를 실시하였고, 구조방정식모형을 이용해서 설정한 매개효과모형을 검증하였다. 그 결과 어머니의 심리적 통제가 대학생의 성인애착에 이르는 경로에서 인정욕구가 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 어머니의 심리적 통제가 인정욕구를 통해 자녀의 애착불안에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 인정욕구가 두 변인을 매개한다는 것이 입증되었고, 어머니의 심리적 통제가 애착불안에 직접 영향을 미치기 보다는 매개변인을 통해 영향을 미치는 경로 모형이 자료에 보다 적합하였다. 또한 어머니의 심리적 통제가 자녀의 인정욕구에 미치는 영향은 정적으로 유의하였다. 이는 대학생 자녀가 어머니의 심리적 통제를 높게 지각할수록 인정욕구가 높음을 의미한다. 그리고 인정욕구가 애착불안에 미치는 영향도 정적으로 유의한 반면, 인정욕구가 애착회피로 가는 경로는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이는 인정욕구 수준이 높을수록 애착불안 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났지만, 애착회피에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 대학생들의 성인애착에 어려움이 있을 때 인정욕구를 중요하게 다루어져야 하는 경로를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 상담의 실제적 시사점과 후속연구에 대한 제언을 논의 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at confirming the mediating effect of the need for approval by exploring the effect of maternal psychological control on the adult attachment of students in university. A questionnaire survey targeting 281 students in universities located in Seoul and Gyeonggi was conducted for this study and the goodness of fit test, applying structure equation modeling, was adopted. The results indicate that the need for approval fully intermediates with the issue of maternal psychological control and the adult attachment of students in university. This means that the need for approval becomes higher as the maternal psychological control level becomes more intense and tends to makes the students in university more anxious, but does so indirectly. This study verified the fact that need for approval should be considered as a significant factor when students in university are struggling with issues related to adult attachment and suggested the need for a follow-up study based on the implications for counseling practice.
