교리문답의 교수학적 가능성 연구 = A Study of Didactical Possibility within the Protestant Catechism

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 기독교교육의 위기시대에 기독교 공동체의 정체성 회복을 위한 교리문답교육의 가능성을 고찰한 것이다. 특별히 종교개혁자들(예: 루터와 칼뱅)의 교리문답서를 중심으로 교리문답 교육의 필요성과 교육실천 가능성을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
먼저 본 연구는 교리 및 교리문답 용어가 갖고 있는 교육적 의미를 고찰한다. 현대 교육학적 측면에서 볼 때, 교리 및 교의는 상당히 전근대적, 권위적인 의미로 비춰진다. 그러나 본래 교리/교의란 성서가 증언하고 있는 신앙에 대한 책임 있는 사유행위에 해당한다. 그리고 교리문답 역시 규범적 교육의 의미에 제한되기 보다는 하나님의 말씀(복음)을 인간 세계에 메아리(共鳴)치게 한다는 해석학적 의미를 갖고 있다.
이어서 종교개혁자 루터와 칼뱅의 교리문답서에 나타나는 교수학적 의미를 고찰한다. 루터와 칼뱅의 교리문답은 개신교 신학의 핵심, 특히 중세의 공로주의에 반대하여 칭의론을 강조하고 있다. 아울러 그들은 교리문답을 집필하는 과정에서 목회적-교육적 관심을 깊이 기울였다. 신앙교리를 성인에게 뿐만 아니라 어린이와 젊은이들에게 확대하여 교육시키려는 차원에서 시도한 교수학적 노력의 일환이었다.
이러한 연구에 기초하여 오늘의 신앙교육 차원에서 교리문답 교육의 실천 가능성을 제안하고자한다. 교리문답의 교수학적 가능성을 기초화(요체화)와 상징성을 중심으로 살펴보고, 종교개혁 사상의 기초 상징으로서 칭의(justification) 교리를 오늘날 신앙교육에 적용하기 위한 교수학적 과정을 간략하게 제안한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is a contemplation of the protestant catecheism that could restore the identity of Christian community facing the crisis of Christian education today. In particular, it aims to suggest the didactical need and possibility of focusing on Luther and Calvin's catechism. Firstly, this study researches the educational meaning of the terms dogma/dogmatics and catechism. From the modern educational viewpoint, dogma/dogmatics has an extremely premodern or authoritative aspect. In actuality, it signifies a responsible thought of faith to which the Bible testifies. Catechism has also taken a hermeneutical role, which is told and echoed by the Word of God towards all the world as a whole rather than being limited by a normative educational meaning. This study then moves to research the didactical meaning of the catechism of Luther and Calvin, the representative religious reformers. Their catechism pointed out the justification, the core of our protestant theology, against the achievement theory of the Roman Catholic Church. Moreover, they focused on the educational field of children and young people, whereas the medieval catechism had given attention only to adults. On the grounds of this research, I suggest several practical ideas and directions by which to apply catechetic education in the field of Christian education today. I propose to look at catechism as elementarization and symbols of our faith from the didactical aspect. In Addition to that, I describe several didactical processes of catechetic education and their relation to justification.
