범죄에 영향을 미치는 주거환경 요인에 관한 연구 -서울특별시를 중심으로- = An Study on the Characteristics of Housing Environment Influencing Crime -Focused on the Seoul Metropolitan Area-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 범죄와 관련하여 환경정비 및 개선을 통한 범죄예방정책 및 전략을 제안하기 위하여 주거환경특성과 범죄와의 연관성을 살펴보는데 있다· 본 연구의 계량적 분석을 위해 회귀분석을 기본 분석모형으로 사용하였다· 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다· 첫째 전체 범죄모형, 절도모형, 폭력모형 모두 유사한 결과를 보여주고 있다· 특히 절도모형과 폭력모형의 결과에서는 큰 차이를 보이지 않고 있다· 살펴본 요인들 중 비거주용 건물내 주택비율와 전세주택비율만이 통계적 유의성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다· 비거주용 건물내 주택비율이 높은 지역일수록 범죄율은 증가하는 반면, 전세주택비율이 낮은지역일수록 범죄율이 높은 것으로 나타났다· 마지막으로 본 연구에서는 인구밀도가 범죄와 통계적 유의성을 가지지 못하는 것으로 나타났다·

This research aims to explore the association between the characteristics of housing environment and crime in order to provide crime-related and environment-based policies and strategies· For this study, regression analysis is used as a basic statistical model with the three cases; total crime, theft, and assault· Main findings are as follows; First, the statistical outcomes of three models are similar· In particular, there is no big difference between the theft model and the assault model· Second, only two factors, proportion of non-residential houses and proportion of leasing houses, are statistically significant· Proportion of non-residential houses has positive association with crime while proportion of leasing houses has negative association· Finally, it is interesting that population density has no association with crime·
