결혼예식의 변천에 관한 연구 = A Study on Changes of the Wedding Ceremony in Korea

The rapid development of domestic industry and the uncritical reception of western culture during the process of modernization and urbanization caused large changes of social structure and customs in Korea. As these changes could be found in our marriage customs, Wedding Halls effected by the mixture of Korean tradition and the western Christian customs has been established as a peculiar architectural pattern with lack of research and evaluation of architectural planing.
Therefore, the purpose of the present research is to provide the basic matters of architectural planning, which can be used practically as rational and objective materials for building Wedding Halls. In the present study, the significance of wedding ceremony, the nature of traditional wedding customs and the process of its transition were observed in advance as well as the character of modern ceremonial act was studied.
