In this study, I researched and analyzed the impact of the thickness of shell and the rigidity of fill materials on the behavior characteristics of cellular bulkhead. The results are as follows.
1. As shells got thicker, yield load tended to increase. But the average increase rate of yield load was slight in case the thickness of shell was 9.3㎜ or over while yield load increased straight in case of below 9.3㎜.
2. As fill materials had more cohesion, yield load tended to increase. There was a little difference in the tendency of the increase by the rigidity of fill materials. Yield load reacted more sensitively to the changes of cohesion in case the rigidity of fill materials is high.
3. As the internal friction angle of fill materials got bigger, yield load increased. There was little difference in the tendency of the increase by the rigidity of fill materials.
4. As the unit weight, the modulus of elasticity and Poisson’s ratio of fill materials increased, yield load increased proportionally. The tendency of the increase was irrelevant to the rigidity of fill materials.
