세계화, 민주화, 한국의 발전주의 생산레짐과 복지체제의 재편 = Globalization, Democratization, and the Restructuring of Production and Welfare Regimes in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 한국의 생산레짐과 복지체제가 1997년 IMF 외환위기 이후, 김대중 정부의 경제개혁과 복지개혁에 의하여 이전의 발전주의적 생산레짐과 복지체제의 제도적 틀과 비교에 어떻게 변화하고 있는 가를 설명하는 것을 기본 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 이론적으로는 생산레짐과 복지체제 간의 상호 관계를 설명해주는 자본주의 다양성 이론에 기초하여 세계화와 민주화를 제도변화에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 보고 이들이 어떻게 상호작용하면서 변화에 영향을 미쳤는가를 분석하였다. 다음으로 방법론적인 측면에서 이러한 변화의 메카니즘을 구체적으로 설명하기 위하여 최근 신제도주의 방법론에서 제기되고 있는 제도의 형성과 변화를 설명하기 위한 도구로서 아이디어(idea)의 역할에 관한 분석틀을 적용하여 보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims at explaining how the Korean production and welfare regimes have changed as a result of the Kim Dae Jung government`s economic and welfare reforms since the financial crisis in 1997. From the theoretical perspective this study takes up globalization and democratization as main variables with the varieties of capitalism in which the reciprocal relationship between the production and welfare regimes are elaborated. As a methodological tool to explain these changes, it uses the logic of `idea` recently developed in the new institutionalism.
