한국 식(食)문화의 문화적 경계에 대한 탐색: 주류 선호 및 식품 품질에 대한 태도를 중심으로 = A Study on the Cultural Boundaries of Korean Food Culture: Focused on liquor preference and attitude toward food quality

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article explores the cultural factors that form the boundary of Korean food culture through the attitudes toward preferred liquor and quality of food. To do this, I conducted two types of analysis based on the Bourdieu's theory of cultural capital, using the Consumer Behavior Survey for Food of the Korea Rural Economic Institute in 2014. First, this study examined the factors affecting the attitudes toward food quality through correspondence analysis and multiple regression for food consumption attitude and preference. As a result of the research, the categories of preferred liquor were divided according to generation and education. The degree of interest in food quality was also statistically significant regarding gender, age, and educational background. In conclusion, it can be seen that the factors of generation and education are the primary variables explaining the cultural boundary of food culture. However, considering the compact growth of Korean society, the effect of the generation itself as a cohort is due to the educational level. In summing up these discussions, it can be seen that the food culture of Korean society is intertwined with education and other factors in the middle of the generations.
