노인의 자살생각에 미치는 사회적․심리적 영향 = The effect of psycho-social factors on the suicidal ideation of older adults

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인의 자살생각에 미치는 사회적, 심리적 요소로 사회통합과 자기효능감, 우울의 영향을 살펴본 것이다. 연구대상은 대구․경북지역의 60세 이상 남녀노인으로 표본크기는 264명이다. 본 연구에서는 성별, 연령에 따른 사회통합, 자기효능감, 우울 및 자살생각의 차이를 살펴보았으며 사회통합, 자기효능감 및 우울이 자살생각에 미치는 영향 정도를 파악하기위해 β를 사용하였다. 연구결과에 의하면 노인이 인지한 건강이 높을수록, 주관적 경제상태가 높을수록 자살생각이 낮았다. 또한 자녀/친구의 만남이 많을수록, 자기효능감이 높을수록 자살생각이 낮았으며 우울은 자살생각을 높였다. 자기효능감과 자녀/친구의 만남은 남성이 여성보다 유의미하게 높았으며 우울은 후기노인이 전기노인보다 유의미하게 높았다. 회귀분석 결과 우울은 자살생각을 높이는데 가장 커다란 영향을 미쳤으며 다음은 자기효능감, 사회통합의 순서로 자살생각을 낮추는데 영향을 미쳤다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the effect of psycho-social factors such as social integration, self-efficacy and depressive symptoms on the suicidal ideation of older adults. The sample size of this study is 264. This study also examines the differences of independent variables and suicidal ideation by gender and age. Also, to test the degree of the effectiveness on the suicidal ideation, standardized coefficient βs are used. There are statically significant differences of the meeting frequency with adult children and friends and the self-efficacy by gender and depressive symptoms by age. For older men, the self-efficacy and meeting frequency of adult children and friends are higher than those of older women. The research results of the hierarchical multiple regression tell that the control variables are important factors of affecting on the suicidal ideation. When independent variables entered in the model 2, the meeting frequency of adult children and friends affect the suicidal ideation negatively. Also, the self-efficacy affects the suicidal ideation negatively and the depressive symptoms affect the suicidal ideation positively. Depressive symptoms are the most effective factors on the suicidal ideation followed by the self-efficacy and the meeting frequency of adult children and friends. Both psycho-social factors of the meeting frequency of adult children and friends, self-efficacy and depressive symptoms explain about 28.79% of variance of the suicidal ideation.
