This study aims to investigate the current status of creativity-related courses in Korean universities. To this end, creativity course syllabi from the top 30 universities were collected and examined for exploring course title, major areas, content, and teaching methods. Differences by major areas were also investigated. Information regarding number of courses, content, teaching methods in various academic fields including the humanities, social science, art, engineering, and liberal arts were presented. The creative courses` content categories were classified largely into 4Ps plus theory related creativity such as creative process, creative product, creative person, creative press, and creativity theory. Detailed analyses find that current creativity education in Korea mainly tends to focus on training creative thinking skills and suggest that future creativity education should include diverse aspects of creativity and more balanced education between cognitive aspects(thinking skills) and traits and motivational aspects of creativity, which are proven to be essential components for creative achievement.
